Increasing ease of use and shorter processes through technological development

Striive is part of HeadFirst Group; the leading international HR tech service provider and platform for professionals. Every day more than 20,000 professionals work for over 500 clients in Europe, using a diversity of HR solutions. Last year a major project started behind the scenes: a completely revamped, digital onboarding of professionals as soon as they start working for our clients. In collaboration with screening platform Victoria ID, we are working on a faster and smarter way to perform screenings - an important, but also time-intensive, part of onboarding.

A strategic vision

Several teams are involved in this multidisciplinary project, and HeadFirst Group's CEO Marion van Happen is also contributing to the collaboration. Marion: “Our goal is to create a fair, open labor market where talents and companies come together. The core of our approach is tech enables touch: combining technology with human insight. Because we believe that the power of technology creates space for more personal contact. This was therefore the reason to enter into a partnership with Victoria ID.”

Operations Director Gerjan Pranger leads this process. “By further digitizing the process, we create space to give personal attention to our professionals and partners at the times when this really adds value for them. This is because we are working on a faster and smarter way to conduct screenings. Instead of doing the screenings ourselves, it makes much more sense to let a specialized party do it. In this, Victoria ID is not just a supplier, but truly a partner. Developing together, testing, gathering information and building the best workflow. A very intensive collaboration that contributes to further development for both organizations.”

Process integration

“For us it is essential to be fully compliant. By facilitating cross checks, we can meet this as well as improve the flow. We aim to create a fully digital workflow and shorter processing times. In doing so, we increase efficiency and convenience for our customers. For example, a professional does not have to submit the same documents multiple times. And a shortened turnaround time ensures that professionals can get to work with the client faster. So it is enormously valuable for all parties involved,” Gerjan said.

Joris de Vreede is Product Owner. He is responsible for implementing the system. “A project like this takes a lot of time. The technology and processes have to be completely correct. Together we develop, test, review and improve. The next step is to roll out this technology in our new platform Striive. Victoria ID will be seamlessly integrated into the file workflow of zp'ers and suppliers in Striive. Users enter 'embedded' and screening and complete it at lightning speed in the Victoria ID environment. The screening results then go directly back into Striive.”

Added value for all parties

“The more intensive the process, the more important the quality of the mutual contact. Together you take responsibility for the product and work towards the best results. Many of our clients have extensive screening needs and work with their own screening parties. This new approach reduces the amount of administration and turnaround time. Also, the entry level for clients is low because of customized solutions. Extra services without high costs or compromising speed.

Professionals often have to submit a lot to clients before they can start. Victoria ID not only offers many digitized screenings and checks, but also cross-checks between different screenings, which increases quality and convenience. Faster screenings, 100% digital and no manual and duplicate work. We thus enable the professional to profile with validated data for follow-up assignments with lower administrative burden.”
